Default 1967 Automatic Transmission Problem

When I drive my car the transmission acts normal at first but after about 2 miles the transmission starts to feel like a brake is on. This just started. Any guesses as to why this is happenning? Any transmission shops that people use in the Chino, CA area?

First, make sure your brake pedal has a little free-play. If it doesn't the brakes will slowly fully engage and it might seem like a transmission problem. This is common when people rest their left foot on the brake pedal too.
If the problem isn't in your brakes then you probably have a warped valve body or a spool that is sticking when it gets warm. You can remove the valve body and free up all the spools and then re-install being sure to torque the screws to 10 - 15 inch pounds and no more.
