Default 1967 shelby clone stolen, toronto area

i was given a tip by a member, that there was a thread about a met blue 67 shelby clone, for sale, for $10000. This may have been my car. i have attached the ad that i am currently running in the Toronto area, looking for my car. Please help, if you remember the thread let me know. I spent over an hour looking for it but came up nothing. have just placed the following ad on both Kijiji and Craigslist. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for the opportunity to use your forum. Please send any info to bdyson@rogers.com. If we flood the Toronto area with the knowledge that this car was not legally purchased, we have a better chance of finding it. MISSING FROM STORAGE NEAR BURNHANTHORPE AND 427 AREA.I have just discovered that my car is missing and have learned that it was recently advertised for sale. It is met blue with white stripes, no interior,289, 5 spd, cobra valve covers, and oval air cleaner. The body is done, it has all of the shelby fibreglass on it, it did not have wheels, and was sitting on blocks. It had been parked in a rented spot at my moms highrise condo for 3 years, until the guy, who had just acquired the unit and parking spothttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adT...lass_10x10.gif, figured that it was parked in his spot it must be his, so he sold it. If you frequent this site and have been looking for a similar car you must have seen the ad. I NEED YOUR HELP to find my car and get it back. Any leads that you may have would be appreciated, no matter how small, if you have the ad number, if you went to see it, what was the asking price, anything, I have 2 years of my time into this car plus the obvious money, PLEASE HELP a fellow classic car enthusiast, restorer, collector, try to locate his car.Im not looking to get anyone in trouble with the police, Im hoping that this can be settled,, without. . If you have it, contact me, we can work something out. Thanks for any help

Hey, at least he got it back, and now the lawyers get to have their fun. Way to go, I'm really glad you got it back. What shape was it in, better or worse than before?

You've got to give more information. How'd you find it? What did they do about the title? Was the car still in your name or had they gotten it re-titled since you never reported it stolen? Let us know what's up.

the cops would do nothing for us. they said its a civil matter aND WOULD NOT HELP US GET IT BACK, EVEN AFTER WE FOUND WHERE IT WAS. WHAT HAPPENED WAS THAT THE GUY WHO SOLD IT, FINALLY GAVE UP THE GUY WHO BOUGHT IT FROM HIM. aFTER WEEKS OF NEGOTIATION, WE CAME UP WITH A DEAL. tHE GUY, who sold it is giving him back half his money, thats all hes got, and im giving back the other half. My lawyer is more concerned right now about posession of the car. Now that i have it, no more Mr nice guy. We are going after the lawyers of the estate where it was stored and the guy who sold it, who was acting under the direction of the lawyer. As far as going and stealing it back, it was considered, but would have most likely caused more trouble, and then we may have never got it back. the title, is and always was in my name, they claimed that they could not find the vin on the car, and it did not have plates on it.
