Default Mustang Band anyone?

Hello ALL,
Well I have been having a few (hundred problems with the car)
The other day I started her up and OMG.... I thought Santa came early.
I was excited to hear what I thought was a new blower under the hood.
To my dismay it was not in sight. LOL

Then I got the idea..well look at the video and it is a natural, keep the volume down.

See what I mean...A mustang band in the making. LOL
If I could get a few other Mustangs together I think I could be on to something.
Perhaps someone with back-fires or squeals.

I hope this puts a smile on a few faces.....

I almost forgot..this is why we love the old cars.

This too shall pass and I'll break something else.... LOL Print Dad

OH! I can add to the Mustang band. My car has a vaccum leak and the more I accelerate/rev the louder the suction gets.

I wish I still had my '89 Mustang. While I wouldn't have been able to add much to the music it certainly could've helped the stage presence. The transmission fluid that dripped on the exhaust would have made for a great fog effect.

Hello derfiticulum,
Fog affect...real nice touch. Classy too.

For all the others, please be sure I know where the trouble is.
Gotta pull intake.

This post is just meant for fun and to show people that we are not in this
alone.
Have some fun with the post...I'm OK..

How can we get some string instrument sounds? LOL

Keep running people, this is still a great great hobby. Print Dad

Hello 66Sprint200,
Now that's thinking. How about an overheating radiator the pssss sound.

To all the people who read this post. I never meant to deter from the importance of these forums. I try to answer questions with great thought and care.

The reason for this post is just to take a break. Hell when I was younger, if I had just put on an intake and had this happen, I probably would have put a wrench through the windshield. As I get old, I realize that this is something that happens and can be fixed. Not something to loose sleep over or get sick about.

My post was meant to poke fun at myself and also to remind others that things don't always go as good as we would like.

Now have some fun and come up with more ideas for the band.

How about squeaky upper control arm bushings, squealing brakes.

All will be well in Mustang Land but at times we gotta just lighten it up.

YAY, I can be part of a band! After my 67 is driven around a while, the right side makes a loud rubbing noise at slower speeds. I can fix it, but why spoil the music?!

It could be that random strumming sound in music that last for a while and then fades. Oh, and I learned how to backfire it (accidental - but funny)

Default Good news - bad news

Hello all,
Bad news - I gotta resign from the band
Good news - after replacing the intake with a new valley pan, the car is running like a top. Really is running strong.

I hope this post serves as a reminder that things don't always go as smooth as we would like but in the end, they work out.

Keep the motors running and the wrenches turning....Print Dad

lol, i was confused when i first heard the sound, then it made sense after u said it was a manifold leak. good thing u figured it out fast. its funny cuz me, i feel the way u describe your self when u where young hahaha. i mess something up i get pissed, cus like a mad man, get angry and wont talk to people, and definitely lose sleep. but in the end, i just walk away, let my self calm down, and give it another crack at it the next day. i manage to fix my errors most of the time after thinking of what could cause problems, or open the autotech book, or best option, post a thread here on afm.

keep the beast runnin, thats all we gotta do.

Print dad... resign? Oh no sir - you started this band. Every good band needs a manager.

HA! That would be fun to have a "clink and clank" mustang show to show off your interesting noises.
