Default T5 Identification problems....

I found Borg Warner "t5" on craigslist with a tag number that read 13-51-097-901, what is this from? Everything that I found online started with 13-52......

I have only heard of tags that start with 1352.

Is that the number cast into the side of the case? If it is the case number it really wont tell you much about what is inside and what car it came from. You need to see the metal tag that is attached to tailhousing-to-case bolt.
Looks like the attached photo.

That number may also be the part number for the top cover plate

Here is more information that I gathered when I did my T5 search and swap: How to ID a T5

Good Luck and BE Safe

You need the case number, if the case number is 13-51 it would be a T4, 4-Speed tranny most likely from the early 80's.
