Default Newbie need help pls

I have a friend trying to sell me a 69 convertable mustang . It has a new top and floor pan. but the motor leak oil. He asking 3500 for it. He say it a mach 1 but there not mach1 any where on the car . Can anyone give me some idea on how to tell if it a mach 1 and is this car worth that much. Any help would be greatly apperciated

A search on "69 Mach 1 vin" yielded this site....

That's a '73 convertible. Not a mach. Machs were fastback body style. I'd take those ugle fog lights off though.

It's a 73 based on the grille, bumpers, and color keyed front hood trim. The car has a Mach style hood, but you could order that and the Exterior Apperiance package on the coupe or convertible. The Mach 1 was only offered on the Sportsroof Body Style. $3,500 seems a little high, but how is the interior?

the interior is terrible need alot of work seat are ok but the rest is pretty bad . And again thanks all.

3500, id buy it. dont have that year, or a convertible. engine leaking oil? buy gaskets, diy.
