Default 1965 Mustang coupe, What's it worth?

I purchased a 65 Mustang coupe 6cly 3spd with 95k miles for my wife but she does not care for it and can not drive the stanard trans very well. I purchased every part needed to convert it to a automatic but I'm thinking about selling instead. The car looks good and went through a restoration about 1yr ago. I have $13,000 in reciepts and pics of the restoration, as well as many parts that will go with the car. The car is red on red but was originally sliver on red. The car is not flawless but very presentable and has placed in local shows. Would $9,000.00 be a good asking price? It seems hard to price the car because I'm seeing prices from $5,000 to $20,000.
Thanks in advance.

I think you can get $12,000 for it. Maybe a little less since the high miles on it but still, the body is in fantastic shape.

NADA Classic Car price guide states 8150.00 on the bottom of the low range and 18,500.00 on the top of the low range.

From what I see in your area, $9,000 - $10,000 seems to be fair for a car in that condition, but being a 6 cylinder may make it harder to move.

Thanks guys. I'm in no rush to sell so I think I'll try $9000.00 and see what happens. I just didn't want to be to over priced.

The coupe is not my "cup of tea" but your car looks great. Why worry about being overpriced? Consider: (1) whatever price you ask, potential buyers will probably try to get it for less (2) come up with the price you actually want, tack a few grand to it and "deal down" to the price you really want. I've been doing that for years and it works, believe me. ANY CAR IS WORTH WHAT ANY PERSON WILL PAY FOR IT. Who knows, you may just find that person who will give you the higher price.
