not hard at all, you can find the moldings on ebay. As far as the top goes, make sure it's warm and you have a buddy on one side to stretch it good. Roll it out then trim as needed. I would condition and fill the pitting first though.

The trim depending the year you can buy new but most years your stuck getting it used. Its not hard to put on it but make sure you paint the roof first. The reason most vinyl roof cars rusted was they glued it over just primer.

Do some Googling on "How to install a vynil top" and you'll find good stuff like this...

Vinyl Top Installation - A- Pillar Install - Mopar Muscle Magazine

It's not for a mustang, but they're out there. This article will give you a good idea on it's complexity. The following info applied to my 67, but might be something to think about. If your car was a vinyl top car originally, someone has puttied the rear trim holes over and you can find where there were at by looking from the trunk for the rear most holes, but the forward most holes will require removing the headliner in that area - yuck! I suppose you could locate the rear most hole through the trunk and use it and your new trim pieces to locate the others, but you will still need to access the area behind the head liner to get the fastenters on. I am assuming that the vinyl top trim attached similar to my 67.

Hope this helps.

Default the top

Sorry I never got notified that anyone responded. This top does NOT cover the pillars. http://www.mustangdreams.com/1972%20Mustang_3.jpg

this is a picture of my body style. For the most part it looks very easy. The top does not even reach the edges of the doors.

Im hoping its easy and just need to find all the trim. Ill knock the roof down to bare metal then coat it with por15, or what ever that stuff is thats rock solid and stops rust.
