Default New 289 K-code engine value

Was hopping that someone could give me the value on a new 1967 ford 289 k -code engine that ive got thats still in the crate.Thanks

Are you saying you have an ENTIRE K-code hi-performance 289, NOS? If that's what you mean, I couldn't even begin to put a value on it, but I'd love to hear the story of where it came from! It would be worth quite a bit of coin, that's for sure.

yes it a nos in the crate my grandparents bought it in 1967 to put into a car but it never happend,im now being told that its a 1966 high performance,im going to be listing it on ebay and was hoping for a idea on the value befor i listed it.

You should post your question on hipomustang.com since that is the website for the hipo mustang registry and they can give you an estimate of the value and how to authenticate that it is a hipo engine. A quick way is to look at the heads and there should be a clearly visible cast number of either 19, 20, or 21 on the corner (lower front on the driver side and upper rear of the passenger side) of the heads. If there is no casting number then it probably is a regular 289 which is still valuable as there aren't many NOS 289's around.
