Has anyone ever seen this? I am contemplating doing this, having it functional also, but was curious if someone has done this or has pictures of how it looks. I traced the 21" w x 26" l and 3" tall. on the hood and it reminds me of like the 68 dodge dart 426 with the overall size. What do you all think?

Can't remember seeing one on a '66, it's going to look pretty obnoxious and huge if that's what you're going for. It looked huge on the '70's cars and they were larger than the '66.
You could always take a pic and photoshop it on to see how it looks.

Pig Muffin,........??? I'm afraid I have to agree with these guys on this. I think the scoop would not really fit the body lines and profile of the car and and really over power it. It would be a distraction rather than enhancing the mustangs appearance.
If you want to go with a bigger scoop than the typical GT350 style for the 65 - 66, Try looking at the 67 - 68 Shelby style made for the 65 - 66. Its wide lower profile, and looks pretty awesome.
The composite hood with metal back frame is nice but pricey.
You can do like i did. Let your kid go another year with buck teeth before finally taking them to the orthodontist . It made her a little tougher / thick skined....... but she has a pretty smile now !
She turns 15 next month. Considering all the boys that are constantly calling or coming over, i kind of miss the days of when "she could eat an apple through a picket fence"

if i can find one smaller, I like the style of the scoop not the size of it. Hmmmm.....hood, cowl, and grill clip is getting done black with flat clear this weekend. Should be interesting!

That should also work . Make sure you post some pictures once you get it on. i'd like to see how it turns out. Ii like that scoop as well.
What ever you do, dont bondo it down to the hood, just bolt it down. My 68 had the same type of hood scoop on the hood when I got it. they bondo'd around it to make it look as part of the hood being one piece. But it will, (let me repeat) it will crack or seperate.
I sold the hood and scoop combo for $35 and put the shelby style hood on it. it truely looks nice.

Are you going for the TransAm series look? are you doing the tops of the fenders and headlight buckets black? Post some pics post paint, I'd like to see them, found a satin black that can be waxed and plan to do my '67 paint like the TransAm series.

Found a pic just to show the scale of that scoop..
I have to say that is god awful ugly, I am so glad I decided something else. Red with flat black, thats simialr to the look but with the mach 1 scoop I think. Did you photoshop that if so can you do the same mustang with a mach 1 scoop? If that is a real picture of a mustang, then i feel bad for that guy, and am glad i asked on here first.
