Default Swivel bucket seats

I was wondering if anyone has done a swivel setup on their buckets. I'm 6'3" and having some would making it a lot easier getting in and out.

I have only seen swivel stock seats in one car, mid/late 70's Monte Carlo I think it was, definately was a GM 2 door model.

A tilt wheel may help you some.

I swapped to foxbody seats (6'1") and they mounted a couple inches back on the track so now I have plenty of leg room for ingress/egress. They are no taller seat ht. than the stock ones and I now have upper back support, headrest, tilt and electric lumbar. I didn't modify my seat pans at all. Once i get the TMI recovers they'll also match the stock stitching/back seats. Just some ideas.
I can post pics if you like.

Here ya' go:
I used the foxbody sliders and a piece of 1"Wx1/4" thick plate steel (HD, Lowe's) as an adapter plate. I removed the 'feet' from the foxbody sliders and drilled to insert high grade carriage bolts (filed holes square). The bolts have a rounded head so the sliders cleared them as they won't clear a hex head bolt. This allowed me to mount the seats a couple inches back, now they slide farther than I need.

You can see the plate steel mounted on the left side but not on right as an example on the seat bottom pic and by itself last.

The seats also come with elelctirc lumbar that I have to hook up.

And you say that you can get these re-covered to resemble the originals?

Yes, spoke to a TMI rep. at the 45th in Birmingham and to Laurel Mtn. on the phone. They can match the horizontal stiching of my '67 deluxe interior and I'll be getting a new rear seat stock cover at the same time. Here's the website:
Classic Automotive Interiors - Restoration and Restyling Products for Classic, Fox Body, and Late Model Mustangs

The pair of foxbody seats I picked up on CL for ~$60, just luck to find a red pair in good shape. They look pretty good stock but I'll be redoing the interior next year. I expect to spend >$500 to redo them (new foam, custom seat covers, headrest covers, etc.) I have the seperate knee bolsters which I don't use so I'm going to trim them down to fit under a normal seat bottom also, want them to look as stock as possible.

It won't be cheap when I'm done but with red interior I have almost no other alternatives as they don't make Scat or other aftermarket seats in red (especially not red that would match my interior like custom covers made with same material as the rear seats).

If you have a black interior you may get out cheaper and if you don't change the fit like I am.

You could use the seats out of the 2004 in the fox body mustangs, why not go with one of those? Reason I'm asking is that the fox body seats are put together cheaply and not welded very well. I had to get the seat in my cougar re-welded twice in 2 years.
