1968 289 mustang with a 3 speed manual transmission is it a good tranny?

hello my name is daniel and i have a 1968 289 mustang with a 3 speed manual transmission. anyone know if thats a good tranny? my 289 has some performance on it and im wondering if that tranny has good whole shot and if its decent?

The 3 spd manual was never intended to be used as a performance unit. It will be OK for easy around-town driving (if it's in good shape), but I would up grade to a top loader 4-speed, or even do a 5-speed conversion if you have much extra power, or plan to race. I think the 3 spd does not have syncros for 1st gear either (not sure) but that can be a pain.
