Default 1963 Four Door Mustang Prototype

I was wondering if anyone has ANY info on the mythical 4 door mustang prototype in 1963. I can find only 1 photo of it and I really want to know more. Not that I like it no no Im glad it never made production. I just want to know was it a full scale car? is it a custom fiberglass body? DID FORD EVEN MAKE THE PROTOTYPE or was it somebody else? What happened to the car in the picture, assuming it really is a full scale car. Just any tidbit of information will be appriciated.

I've never heard of such a thing...Where did you first hear of it and where did you get the photo?

I first heard about it on some tv show that did a special on the history of the Mustang. I wasnt paying attention but I did catch a glimpse of the photo. Then I was just having a conversation with a friend and when I meant to say 4 seater I said 4door Mustang in which my friend promptly corrected me which got me thinking about the 4 door I saw on tv. I then went on google and found the same picture I saw on the show, as well as a couple other people that like me just know the picture, not the story. Im guessing the window edging on the doors are off a Falcon???????

I will have to look through some old Mustang books I have, I seem to recall seeing some Ford prototype photos in one of them that was a 4-door.

hey, i have a book called The Complete book of Mustang and it shows the same picture of the 4 door mustang that you showed. The book says, "by january 1963, design studies were beginning to look a lot like the mustang that would ultimately emerge. the license plate says falcon and the fender badges say cougar on this clay mock up, which explores a 4 door sedan body style." So i believe they never actually made the car. they only made a clay model of the car, and they didnt even call it the mustang yet.
