Default My baby has new shoes

Just finished installing my new Cobra brakes with the brackets from Mustang Steve, haven't test drove yet but they sure do look good.

  1. Bracket kit from Mustang Steve $240.00
  2. Cobra Calipers $250.00
  3. Since my car was originally a disc brake car in needed to buy hubs from a drum brake car $30.00
  4. Then had the hubs cleaned and new bearings pressed in $80.00. I guess I could have done this but the bearing races were tight and I didn't want to ruin my hubs getting them out.
  5. 13" Rotors $75.00
  6. Braided steel brake lines $60.00
Total $735.00
The fit is perfect but I have 17" wheels, any smaller and you'll have problems.

If any one is considering this swap I gotta say it's a huge improvement. I stop much quicker without as much foot pressure. Before I would downshift to help stopping (because of my lead foot) but now, don't even feel the need.
