Underdrive pulleys, eliminate any accessories such as power steering, air conditioning, etc. anything that requires the use of a belt. (My 67 has jack **** on it!)

Aside from that, for the classic mustangs i like to stick with what was originally intended for them, the Paxton Super chargers.

Always stick with superchargers for muscle cars in my opinion, i told my friend this and he didn't believe me. He was pretty upset when a supercharged 289 mustang beat his twin turbo Trans am 350

P.S. Superchargers have a parasitic loss since they run off the crankshaft via. belt. This is the down-side to having one, you lose power to gain even more power. I don't believe turbochargers have the parasitic loss issue..

I would change the gears to something higher. Then get sub frame connectors a monte carlo bar and export brace they all will stiffen the car up a lot.

Every motor has those, but are yours capable of handling any type of induction?

this is what the engine should have in it.

First, drop the 750 carb. Too big for a 302, especially for that setup.

Second, what do you have so far as a bottom end? You need forged pistons period if you want to run poweradders, which i think are pointless because you didn't list any aftermarket heads. Why pay 4 grand for a paxton if you could get some AFR's for a third of the price and make about the same power N/A?
Also, can the rest of your car handle a 100 or so shot of Nitrous or any other power adder? Stock rear end and transmission?

the tranny is getting rebuilt sometime this week and im gonna ask to have whatever necessary put in it.
the rear end for the time being is stock, but that will change when i get my taxes back. lol
the suspension and brakes will be upgraded later this month. The performance parts will be the last things purchased. i just want to know what i should get so that i can save the money.

Sell the 750 and get a 600, with a dual plane RPM intake, get some aluminum heads (edelbrock e-streets 170cc for $921.00) and a 3:73 gear. You could do that for fewer than 2500 bucks, and it would feel like a new ride.

I gotta agree with everyone else on the cylinder heads. For cheap heads, you can get a set of Patriot aluminum cylinder heads for about $900, or you could go with AFR heads for about $1500. The AFR heads are easily good for 400 hp when properly matched with a camshaft and intake. Your x303 cam and an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake will be your best bet, along with a 600 cfm carb. In fact, a 550 carb would work just fine as well.
