Default Factory Stock 65 F100 with 65 Mustang Seats

I own a 1965 Ford F-100 Ranger, the Ranger package consisted of Mustang bucket seats and carpeting. The seats has special seat tracks to raise the seats off the floor to a comfortible height. There was a very limited number of the Ranger models made and I only have seen two in my life. The one I have and one that I saw in 1966 at a Ford dealer getting some warranty work. I do however know of about six or eight more that friends on the Ford slick 60s board own. most have the vinyl seats with the vinyl inserts. My truck was an early model and has the 64 1/2 seats with the vinly outer with cloth inserts. Here are a couple of pictures showing the seats and a picture from a Ford sales brochure. Another option was the center console, it came from the Falcon. There is a carper like curtain that covers the gas tank so you can't see it between the seats. It is removed in the picture of my truck.

You could cut about a foot off of that shift lever and it would still be long!

Frank, you think it may be a bit long? I would like to take it out and put an automatic in. With the four speed it leaves little room for an under dash A/C unit.
