I've got a '66 coupe, that I've been working on for the past 4 years. The engine's got an Edelbrock cam, intake manifold, and carb, Headman full length headers, running to a 2.5" exhaust system. I've got new KYB shocks all around, as well as a 1" sway bar up front, and a 3/4" sway bar in the back, and new leaf springs. The C4 tranny has a fresh rebuild, and I'm still working on either building up the current rear, or swapping it out fo a 9". At the moment, I'm in the process of deciding whether or not to use the E5AE 351 Windsor heads I have on the car. They need some minor machine work, but I'm not sure the gains will be worth the effort. I'll probably end up selling them, and getting a good set of small chamber 289 heads, and reworking them for slitely larger valves.

Hi, I would love to get some help & some much needed information: I just bought a 65 Coupe, 6 cyl, white, all original in & out with 73000 miles. Garage past 20 yrs, (one family owner, son bought new & mom sold car to me)... My question is do I leave it as is, faded red color int & carpet? It runs great & drives great, for a really old car! I would love to find out how I should start my new life as a pony owner. I bought this car on my own without knowing anything about them, just that I used to sit in the back seat of one as a kid & wish I could have one when I grew up. I know she is the wimp of the whole lot & way too many of them were made, but she is so pretty to look at (how could I resist)... "Yes, even me, a girl would rather have the V-8 & wind in my hair", but hey she needed a loving home & another clean garage. Can anyone give me the much needed advice? Please! Thanks for any information, & have a great day...

289, 4v Holley 600DP, Tri-Ys, 2 1/2" X pipe with Dynomax Bullets and side exit, 9" rear w/ 3.73 Tru Trac locker, 6 pt. cage, Fuel Safe 16 gal cell, lots of suspension mods, R model rear and side windows, BW T10 4 speed, Cobra race seats and 6pt G Force harnesses.
I repainted it the factory Silver Blue.

1965 Mustang Coupe "A" code (originally) with a toploader (now it's a close ratio).

The only thing that is original is the roof, firewall, and frame. Most parts have been replaced in order to make it a road race car. The rest of the parts were replaced because I knocked them off.

My husband and I are new to this forum. We are restoring a 1968 Ford Mustang convertible. It has engine code T (200 I6) and we are thinking about keeping it original. The original color is code Q (Brittany Blue). The trim is code 2BA (no kidding). We aren't sure if it is supposed to be black or blue!! We would like to restore the entire car to original, so if anyone could help with the trim code, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, does anyone know what the rims looked like for this kind of car? I can find plenty of GT pics, but none of the 6 cylinder. thanks

I have been searching the country to find a fully optioned, factory stock 1965 or 66 A-code 2+2, and was lucky enough to find one recently. Had to pay top dollar for it though, they go reeelly quickly. It's still on its way here, being more difficult to ship cars here to the PNW from other parts of the country.

It's a no-rust 1966 A-code 2+2 GT, Warranty Plate No. 63B V 64 25K 13 1 1--i.e., 2+2 Pony Interior, exterior color Emberglo, Emberglo & Parchment interior, Built October 25, 1966, Sold out of New York, 3.00:1 rear axle, 3sp manual transmission. It was Metuchen built (VIN 6T09A135737) and has its body buck tag. It also has factory Rally-Pac, A/C, Center Console.

It presently has a 4sp top-loader in it, the only mod to be done soon is a T-5. Maybe someday a 347 300-350hp that will pass under a judge's scrutiny for a factory 289, & a 9" locker. Can one alter a 4100 to deal with a 347, hmmmm. Not sure about the exterior color, hope it turns out to be OK. The interior looks good. I just feel lucky to have found this one--these cars are flying off the lots for top dollar within a week of getting a nice one in. There are some pictures of it in my Gallery.

It's great to have this website to share knowledge and cars on, thanks much.
