I came real close to choosing emberglo for my FB, it's a great color...and it's not RED! To many red 'stangs out there. The interior looks great in that color too. It's not a color you get to see much which makes it worth keeping. Anyway I decided to restore mine to the original blue and white pony which is also a good looking interior (and not red either ) And going with Nightmist blue on the outside. Good luck with the car she sounds like a beauty.
Mike
PS below are some pics I lifted off of e-bay of an emberglo FB when I was still thinkin' of that color it's a beautiful color. Thought you might enjoy them.

Re: What Do You Have? List your classic's year, model, and any mods.
I have a '67 coupe and i was wondering how I can tell if is a matching numbers car? I tried once before a few weeks ago and did not get any help. Maybe i will get lucky this time around....Thanks for any help, Danny.............
I have a 1965 convertable (built in Dearborne on 08/04/64) that I purchased from the original owner with 59k on the odometer a little over a year ago. It has the original 200 CID (good shape). It originally had a manual 3-speed and came out of the factory painted Wimbilton White.
He did a restoration 99, replaced the 3-speed with a C-4, extensive bodywork, including floor pans and rear quarter panels. Lots of bondo in the doors. He also re-painted it a dark green, using a PPG shade used on Chryslers in the 80's (??). From 99 to 2006, he used it as primary, though limited transportation inside Washington, DC. It's my plan never to take it out of the garage unless I plan to have some fun with it and never when there's a 30% chance or better, of rain
It's currently up in my brother's shop outside of Altoona, PA. Next month we start to work on body issues that include some light damage, the re-appearance of rust in the overly bondo'd doors (maybe new skins) and the likely replacement of the right rear quarter. I'm going to re-paint it Ford Ivy Green. I also plan on doing some engine work that will likely include upgrading to a 2-bbl carb, new headers and possibly a new cam. If I have enough $ left I might also upgrade to front disc brakes.
I have a 1966 Mustang coupe, 289, 2v, power steering. She's all original, 82,000 original miles. No mods, and do not plan on any, some very minor rust. Springtime Yellow, black interior. I plan to make her as nice as I can, maybe some suspension and frame reinforcing.

1968 Mustang coupe. Stock 289 with C4 and 2.79 conventional rear.
The only mods it has now is dual exhaust, Cragar Street Star rims, export brace added (Ford service replacement, not repro), Petronix electronic ignition, factory clock added that has been converted to quartz, and a factory AM radio that I had gutted and converted to AM/FM with a dual voice coil speaker put in the original location in the dash. The other thing that was done is when the rear leaf springs needed replacement they were replaced with 66 convertible springs to raise the back end slightly and give a little firmer ride. Nothing extreme or permanent. Except for the dual exhaust and wheels these mods can't be detected by 95% of the people at shows.
As a matter of fact I'm planning on getting rid of the Cragars, which were installed by a previous owner, and getting the argent styled steel wheels that were an option during that year. I plan on remounting the Kelly Charger RWL tires on those rims.
I have no plans on getting rid of the dual exhaust, I really like it, but I would like to change it to stainless steel sometime. I bought the rear valance notched for the dual exhaust and the chrome 'Y' tips with the correct rolled edges.
[EDIT] cancelled attached pics, can't upload.
