What kind of engine and transmission does it have? What are your plans for it?

Hello,
It has a freshly built, mildly modified 4V 302. The block and heads appear to be cast in 1977. The tranny is a fresh C4.

My plans are to participate in local car club (Tehachapi, Ca.) events and general cruising.

Oh, I plan on driving the tires off this car. I'm hoping the suspension and steering mods I did will make it a fun ride. In talking to someone who was raced a mustang with these mods, it should handle "right snappy".

I've seen one of those kits at a Mustang show and heard it handles pretty good. Personally, I have a 1965 coupe equipped with a 289. The motor has a comp cams Xtreme Energy flat tappet cam and lifters with the rest of the valve train from comp cams, Edelbrock Performer intake and 750cfm carb, and the biggest valves that can be fit into 289 heads. It breathes through a 2 1/4" dual exhaust with MagnaFlow mufflers, and headers are non-existent because of funds. I've also got the usual handling bits: 600#, 1" drop front springs; stock rear springs; KYB shocks; 1" front sway bar; and a 7/8" rear sway bar. I've also got 15 x 7 Magnum 500s with BFGoodrich tires.

Paul,
That's nice. I went to your gallery, It looks good.

If mine handles as well as I hope, I'll replace the drive train.

Cool Re: What do you have? '68 ragtop

Ron,

I drive a '68 C-code ragtop "project" car, auto tranny, brittany blue w/ white lid that's almost never up (sts). Pics are in my profile.

Cheers!

Driving, maybe someday. 1970 coupe v8-haven't figured out what yet,not original. Just welded in new floor pans, now doing mechanical repairs and looking ahead to getting it painted. No mods yet though I may add air conditioning at some later date

I just bought (well it really was a steal) a 1966 mustang coupe. No air, nothing special. It is green but not an original Ford green so I intend to repaint it. 289 V8 that was rebuilt less then 10,000 miles ago. Black interior. Original AM radio (i need to add another stereo so I can hook up my ipod). You can see more pics here:
Shutterfly

I love this car. We need to do some work on the rear end, and there are some scratches and little dings here and there, but otherwise it is one sweet ride.
