I drive a '92 Bronco for rainy days and in winter. The '67 for all the other days!
The Bronco is stock.
The '67 has a 289 / 4V with a C4, Front Disc Brakes, Foglights, AM/FM Mono Radio, Console, Tilt column with deluxe "woodgrain" steering wheel, 6K tach, Trip Odometer Speedometer, a dash clock and a manual top. The 289 is bored 40 over with a mild cam, Pertronix Ignition Module, Edelbrock Performer Aluminum Intake, Edelbrock Performer 600 CFM Carburetor, and World - Winsor Jr. Heads.
65' Coupe 302, 8cyl rebuilt with only 3,500. Only other upgrade has been the audio, with two 6x9 and two 6.5" Pioneer speakers, Pioneer Premier head unit, and two 15" dual comb Solar Baric Subs with 1000watt JL amp, and a 1.5 Farad Capacitor.
First off I'd like to say I'm new to this site. 2ndly me and my 18 yr old son are working on a '72 Fastback w/ 351C & a rebuilt FMX tranny. It's dark forest green w/ a Mach 1 rear spoiler. It was running but the oil pump shaft fell out. Got that resolved but now can't get the beast started...oh well.
We have 2 classics, the first one is a 67 fastback with a stock 289 and 2V carb, I just put a power brake booster in it and that made a big difference as far as comfort level when I drive it. Its red with black interior, drives really nice.
The most recent one is our 73 Mach 1. Has the 351 cleveland and a 4 barrel carb. Nasa hood but no insert so if anyone has a deal out there on those Im interested. Also has air, great sound system and drives really nice too, the headers and exhaust really turn a lot of heads, its creme white with black interior and black spoilers.
1966 HT, black but were original springtime yellow. 289w v8, cruise-o-matic c4, AC, cruise controll, center consoll, black leather seats.
Mods: Edelbrock Perf. RPM power package, edelbrock 600cfm carb, flowtech headers, 2.5'' custom exhaust, polyurethane bushings at front suspension, kyb shocks, American Racing torque trust II 17'' rims, front spoiler, Hella H4 front head lamps.
I have a stock '66 GT coupe A code, 4 spd, springtime yellow with black vinyl top, pretty good shape for an old restoration in 1992. Seems to have only 72k orig miles. I've had her for 3 years and am itching to do some mods, e.g. engine rebuild and mild mod, suspension, steering mainly (?power rack), nothing that's not reversible to stock.
Anybody in the Connecticut or even NY/New England area who knows of a good shop with classic Mustang experience? I don't have the time or facilities to do major work myself anymore.
She has recently undergone a complete engine rebuild, and now sports a stroked 408 Cleveland which is estimated to produce 550 horse...Internals include Scat Crank, Rods, Probe forged pistons with Crower Roller rockers & stainless valves.
The 4V heads have had plenty of port attention to encourage airflow and greater velocity with an inlet/outlet tongue kit. Exhaust then flows via Flow-tech headers.
Atop the block is a 'TFC' single plain 8 inch manifold and a Holley 750.
I am still running the engine in with only 300 kms enjoyed thus far.
Currently own a 1966 Fastback A Code, due to the amount of rust decided to turn it into a resto-mod.
Previously owned a 1967 Fastback w/ 289 and a 1983 5.0 GLX Convertible.
1966 currently undergoing a rotisserie restoration. Should get her first coat of paint in about two weeks. Haven't seen her in seven months, haven't driven her in twelve years, have owned her for twenty five years. First car purchase I made at the age of 17 for $2,000. Put about 150,000 miles on her between original motor and rebuild.
Great site and forum. I really enjoy hearing about and seeing all these great cars.
End result should be:
Silver with black base/blue pearl lemans stripes.
Functional side scoops, quarter windows in place of vents.
347 stroker motor NA
March Pulley system
3 inch exhaust with x pipe
C4 Transmission
9 inch posi rear-end with 3.50 gears
2 inch mini-tubbing on rear end
Subframe connectors
Traction bars, front and rear sway bars
Rack and pinion (manual) front suspension with tilt steering wheel
4 wheel disc brakes with dual master
15x7 wheels up front, 15x8-10 in rear
Power windows
Keyless entry
Custom Auto sound system with MP3, Hidden speakers
GPS with XM Radio and Bluetooth cell phone function
Concealed radar detector system
Pro car rally seats
Black camera finish and brushed aluminum interior
Roll bar with 4 point harness
and finally, a very empty bank account. Who says you can't buy a little happiness.
I have a 69 standard fastback with 302 , edelbrock intake, edelbrock 650, B&M quick silver shifter with new floor pans, all new sheet metal on front end and all new wiring, but still have to get brakes fixed. Rebuilding 87 302, nored .040 over forged pistons, air gap intake, still trying to decide on cam.
Also have a 1970 mercury Cyclone gt with 351c, 2v, factory air, 9" rear with 3.00 gears, very cool car. I bought both of these cars for under 3000. They both run (after very little work, ie carb rebuild, plug/wire change, & new gas)
