My car is a 65 black on black Mustang convertible. My wife named her Audry (after Hepburn). She is pristine and almost all original and lives in our garage, the car not the wife. She is not only beautiful but with a 289 4bl she can move and drives like an absolute dream, She was supposed to have a special suspension pkg. Her story is this. Ordered by Ford rep, driven for a year, sold to next door neighbor, garaged and only driven on occasion on clear days. She is simply the most immaculate and beautiful Mustang I have ever seen with only 68900 original miles.
ive got a 65 coupe that i was given for a graduation present with a slightly built 289, with a perferomer series cam, 4barrel carb and manifold, and a monster D.U.I distributor. hedman elite headers, with a full Flowmaster exhaust to the rear. it has all new suspension, and the body is in pretty good shape, and its all sittin on some American Racing torque thrust D's-15-7's. but... soon its going to have a 302 stroked out to a 347 with some good gears in the rear.
