My classic Stang is a 1967 Coupe , green with an I6 and a 3 speed in the floor, I traded a 70 VW Beetle for it. The car's body is flawless, and the floorboards are.....gone. So are the brakes. But it runs a drives great! Just flintstone it to stop! Is't got factory A/C which still works! Had to recharge it though.... But it works now. This old guy had it in the back of his barn, his aunt bought it new, and only drove 49,000 miles before parking it, she bought and auto. I'm finishing it up to give it to my Father as a gift, After all he has done for me, he deserves it.

1965 Mustang Coupe, red exterior with white/red interior. 351C attached to an AOD with a 2500 stall convertor, a Ford 9" with 4.33 gears on a Detroit Locker. Cragar SS all around. Granada disc brake conversion up front. Gas mileage sucks - fun factor really high.

Talking 1973 Mach 1

I have a 1973 Mustang Mach 1, which is the mexican version, is almost the same than the american Mach but all M1 models in Mexico where available only with 351W, 4Speed Manual and Hurst Shifter. The interior is where the differences can be found, door panels are totally diferent than americans, rear set belt where not available, and the seats and upholstery where totally different.
It has no mods, I just plan to buy a 14x7 Magnum 500 and Pertronix Ignitor I

Default Finally!

I've finally got my hands on my dream car.
Its a 1967 Mustang Coupe, 289 2bl, Blown heads (.40 ovr) and according to the Marty report, its 1 of 3 mustangs that were built to become Hertz rental cars with the particular features it has(air, Brittany blue, power steering, automatic, blue interior, Built at the plant in San Jose, Ca. ) but never made it there. It was sold in 67 to my Uncle, he sold to his son, who sold it to my nephew and now I have it. Been in the family since new. So far its been a 4 yr project. Every time I get the money for parts and go to put them in, I find something else that needs to be replaced to make it safe to drive. Its fun and I love seeing them on the road. I'll get mine out there someday and its gonna be great!!!!

Nice to see what everyone has. A very wide variety. Our Mustang is a 1964.5 Notchback. It is 80-85% original with a little under 64000 miles. Some of the options on our Mustang are PS, PB, AT, factory AC, Tinted windows, & Console. It has the original D-Code 289 4v engine and is painted in the original color of "Pagoda Green" which was discontinued when the 65's came out in September of 64. It still has the generator not an alternator. It has a build date of May 21, 1964 - which we believe it to have been ordered on or before the day they came out in April of 64. It was built here in Dearborn - sent to LA - and after 40 years of being there brought back to this area. During the first year that we owned this Mustang we were lucky enough to have it stored inside the Mac Donald's on Woodward Ave. Woodward Ave. was the first cement street in the United States. For the past 14 years we have had what is noted as the largest one day car event in the world. The Woodward Dream Cruise. Woodward is 16 miles long in one direction which makes a round trip 32 miles and covers 9 cities. We are proud to say that in that 14 years we have never had a major incident considering that we bring in about 1.5 million car crazy folks along with an estimated 40,000 vehicles. Let me know if anyone out there has heard of it. One of our daily drivers is a 2008 GT Convertible.

If someone can help - I'd post photos of the classic. The history on the Classic Mustang is deeper but I've already taken up a lot of time.

Rick

1965 Mustang 2+2 289 A code, 5 speed transmission, 9" rear end, front disc brakes and 17" wheels. When I brought this car home, everyone thought I was nuts. It had no motor or tranny. It had a fiberglass front clip and rear fender flares, and everything was wired with one roll of red wire (uuuggg!) and stripped of most anything inside to reduce weight This ex-drag car ended up being a 5 year project. I did most of the restoration myself, except for the final body prep before the paint.

Just found this site while I was looking for a new wiring harness. Figured I would check out a few things and hopefully get some much needed help. I have a 65 with a 289 a/c and a lot of work needs to be done. My dad purchased this in 1972 from a guy going into the monistery, (he cried when he handed over the keys my dad says) Dad drove it until 1983 when he thought he had a grounding problem. The car sat untill two years ago cause he thought he was going to restore it but never got around to it. Some guy seen it in the garage and offered him1000 on the spot. So dad called me and told me what was going on and I told him Ill give him that for it. So needless to say I have it now and when we got it home I let it sit for about a year and a half and had my brother in law (mechanic) look at it and he messed around with it for about ten min. and found the problem. The wiring at the fire wall had corroded and thats why it wouldnt do anything for dad. So now I am ready to start working on it and am looking to just rewire the whole thing any suggestions would be appreciated (where to buy,, or just tips) Thanks Tim

I have a '70 coupe with a 302 engine and C4 tranny. Just bought it for my 14 year old son and we are doing a restomod to it.

He wants to have a "Boss 302" theme to the car. I've picked out Medium Blue Metallic for the exterior color with Shelby stryle rear quarter extensions and trunk lid, Boss 302 stripe kit, Shaker hood scoop, and front chin spoiler. We're having a "Street Boss 302" built and just today I found a Toploader 4 spd for it or a C6 if we choose. He wants aftermaket racing seats and different guages in the dash. It will ride on 15x7 Magnum 500 wheels mounted on some BFG's.

We have our work cut out for us. Photos after we get started next week.
