Here's some shots of my old fastback and my filthy garage. The plan is to finish the problems with the suspension then repaint the engine compartment and finally load the engine and transmission....hopefully before winter. It's a shame I've left it sit since 1996. Just didn't have the capital.

Rodbender that is one nice looking fastback...even if it does have all that stuff sitting on it

When I saw your title of resurrecting I thought I was going to see pictures of a rusted out shell...my compliments to you.

2003 V-6 - the usual bolt-ons. Traded for 2012 V-6
2012 V-6 - premium "Pony Package" edition. Leased, so no mods. Traded up for 2013 5.0
2013 5.0 - premium package, visual mods for now.
1965 coupe - Born - straight six standard issue
Now - 5.0 motor, T5 tranny, R&P, full length subframe connectors, Caltracs draglink bars, hedman headers, disc brakes, MSD 6, paxton supercharger, and probably a bunch of other stuff I forgot to mention. It's loud as hell, and my new toy

glad to see this might mean you're actively posting again. Don't you have another red and white fastback too?

I like the mattress on the roof. Gives a whole new meaning to soft top.

Well, I can say it was good therapy to start on the old car again. I got the old steering links off to put in mothballs as I keep all the original stuff from the car. I also got the new a-arm on. The engine compartment is cleaned and degreased. I think I convinced myself to repaint the engine compartment as it won't look good next to the exterior being repainted. I need to get a seal and a couple of other things to complete the process. I will keep posting pics along the way. Thanks Lizer for the soft top comment. Haha I got stuff piled to the moon in there. Hopefully the bed that the mattress belongs to will sell this week. Looks like I sold my 79 Mustang this weekend. I hope it goes to a good home. Soon

I picked up my paint for the engine compartment today. It was a bit hazy as two days ago I got my 4 upper teeth knocked out by a drunken a$$ at my local pub. Hopefully, I can get started on getting this part done. I'll take some more pics tomorrow as long as I have the pain killers.

Old and in the way.

Hello. Ouch! You poor thing. Drunks sure can be stupid. Is that mattress there for just in case you get a bit too enthusiastic with the pain pills?

That's a good one Veronica! I can't smile as I have alot of stiches in my lip too. Those pills are something. :kooky:Loopy-loopy. Well I didn't get much done other than some degreasing (dang housework & laundry). All that's left is to remove the fenders, scuff it with a gray scotch-brite pad, mask and shoot. Hopefully this week. My brother is crawling all over me for not having this car done yet. Pics a comin'. Also thanks 65fixup I may take you up on that. Her's some shots of the engine. Take care Y'all

Here's today's progress. I have the engine compartment cleared out and my new a-arm and suspension buttoned up. Tomorrow I finish degreasing, scuff and paint it. The first one is my helper, Chaunce. ...and who said that mattress wasn't useful. LOL How many are tripping over toploaders in their garage?

Well finally got the engine back in this weekend. YAY! Here's a couple shots.

Looks like it's coming along nicely. I know what a PITA it can be working in a crowded garage, mines almost the same.

Hey thanks! Yes sweethotrods it's technically a 2+2 and thanks White05GT it IS rather cramped. I've been pigeon-holing parts since the early 80's and WHAT A PILE of parts. 289's, 302's, one 351 C 4bbl, one 351 W, 3 460's, 5 toploaders, fenders, hoods, valance panels, rear ends, carbs, intakes, geez. It's time to put the cars together. Thank you to those following my progress on this. God Bless.

Started the rewiring of the front end. Got the gauge feed next is the other major feed. The old stuff is cracking bad and I don't want a short. Sorry no pics this time. I will be going through the toploader and rebuilding it soon. I post pics of that progress.

dang. Why is it some folks just got to act that way. Just last night I guess i had a sign on me.... "hey try me out". But after he made 4-5 moves and I moved him around the dance floor...he caught on that it wasn't going as planned and fortunately backed off. Guess he didnt like being made fun of being handled by an old man

Thanks! It's starting to get cold here so progress is going to be slow-er. The garage is heated but the cost isn't cheap. I have the flywheel, clutch assembly, bell housing and shock tower plates ready to put back on also( was missing the bumpers). Looking at the drivers side quarter panel I thing I'm going to replace the skin and outer wheel house as it was hit awhile back. I could drive it back out.

Well it's good he backed off. Good for you. I used to be the one mopping the floor with these types. Actually my entire life up to this one. However, this time I didn't. The reason was that everytime I'd bust somebody, I'd be the one getting arrested. So an update on that- He's charged with a felony, my lawyers are going after the bar, the law is going after the drunk and I have new teeth.
