Default 70 coupe question

i am looking into buya a 70 mustang coupe . it looks like its been sitting for a long time, and appears to be in good shape, plus it looks like it will be cheap. judging by the guys yard and ares around there (all feilds & junk ).in the last few it got me wonderin though, I cant actually recall ever seeing a 70 coupe before, i know they exist, but are they rare or something, or is it just that everyone went with the fastback instead. Of course id much rather have a fastback, never cared to much for the coupes.

You know now that I think about it, I can't recall seeing a 70 coupe. All kinds of 69's

Coupe's are not rare, It is just everyone pefers the Sports roof model. The coupe's are going to be a lot cheaper to buy, and if there is not a lot of rust then this might be a good starter car for you. Good luck in your search for the right stang for you....

i had a 70 coupe as my first car.wish i still had it was a 351c 4v carauto with deluxe(mach 1 ) style interior.best one i've seen was a 70 plain white, white wheels with the dog dish hubcaps, and no options except fpr a 428scj ram air and drag pack.didn't even have power steering.i guess there were only around 8-12 of these cars ordered this way.to find one i'd think you'd really have something to hold on to.if the coupe your looking at is in good shape i'd get it and do it up i've seen maybe 2 in the last 15 years at any car shows, plus as a driver, thier easier to drive than a fastback my last 70 fb was a pain to back up into anywhere.lots of blind spots
