Default 69 Mustang Grande-work in progress

Here's mine...69 Mustang Grande. One of 22,000 made. It's been in the shop all winter and I'm itching for the snow to go so I can drive it a while.

This is my 1966 Mustang Convertible. Used to be a six cylinder, but it's now a HI-PO 302 (5.0). Transmission comes next. If you look at the picture, my wife, her sisters, and my mother-in-law enjoying a nice California spring day. (No, the car isn't fired up and, No, it's not moving. LOL

Reinigm, those are some interesting wheels you have there. Though I think some magnum 500's would look great on your vert.

My pics are in my profile. It's a '66 C-code with a 289, 4100 Autolite and aluminum intake, C-4, Crown Victoria 16" alloy wheels, Nightmist blue. Bought it sight unseen from a guy in Sanibel Island, Florida. Flew in, gave him a check and drove it back to Atlanta. I had paid for an inspection. He was right about the unibody, paint and interior but I've installed new drivers side upper control arm, kick panels, shocks, brake shoes, door felts and weather stripping. Remaining are a disc brake upgrade, 1" anti-roll bar, quick steering kit, monte carlo bar and on and on.

Default 65 to 66 Hertz

My current, soon to change 65 clone of 66 Hertz. I bought it in 1986 and paint was about 8 years old then. I dropped it ala Shelby in the front, 3/4" in back, sways front and rear and rebuilt Versailles. It was rollin on ugly gold Craigers on giant tires. Bored 302 w/ported & polished Windsor heads. All this was done long ago in process of reworking it now. New floors are going in and comtemplating an IRS unit out back. Prefer the twisties to straight line. The Versailles added lots of unsprung weight and isn't kind on bumps in the corners. Front suspension is going tubular and adding a rack. Stripes are gone too. Most likely stay black but don't care for the Hertz look anymore. Gawd I hope I hit Lotto
