It's a 4-speed GT-350H, high lift cam, modern headers and Flowmaster mufflers, 16" American Racing mags, otherwise stock. It's loud, fast, & fun. I rented a new Hertz Shelby GT-H and raced them-about the same in 2nd & 3rd, but the new one is much faster off the line (traction control!) and in higher gears. Maxed out the new GT-H at 145 mph; mine does about 130 with a stock 3.89:1 rear end
A boy and his pony...
Our son turned 16 yesterday and his present was this '67 coupe. We've been working on it off and on for a year or so getting it road worthy and safe. It's still rough around the edges in the looks dept, but we thought he should be doing that phase on his own dime and to his own taste.

This is my first Restomod Mustang project. Thanks to this site, I've received alot of info for this build. Exterior body mods are fiberglass hood, front apron and lip, side skirt, trunk lid, GT-350 side stripe sticker, GT-350 gas cap, and fresh coat of paint. Front suspension mods are Grab-A-Trak upper and lower control arm, polyurethane spring perch, 620 coils, 28 point adjustableSPAX shocks, all new steering linkage with TCP tie rod ends, 1 1/8" front sway bar, chrome shock tower caps, and new strut rods with polyurethane bushings. Rear suspension mods are Grab-A-Trak performance leaf spring kit and components, 3/4" sway bar, air shocks, and Lakewood traction bars. Exhaust mods are torque step Hedman hedders, purple hornies glass packs, 2 1/2 pipes, and Silver Line exhaust tips. Interior mods are pretty much stock with new upholsteries and carpets. Engine mods are 289 bored 0.030 over, comp cams, Ford Racing roller rockers, 302 heads, Edelbrock Performer 289 intake, Holley 4v 670 cfm carb, Mallory distributor, MSD wire and coil, NGK spark plugs, Ford Racing air cleaner and valve covers/breather caps, Ford Racing oil pan/dip stick, Edelbrock polished high performance water pump, Tuff Stuff polished 110 amps 1 wire alternator, Pro Race harmonic dampner, March Performance serpentine pulley system, aluminum radiator, Flex-A-lite lowboy electric fan, and Monte Carlo brace bar. Tranny mods are T-5 conversion, Ford Racing king Cobra clutch kit, Ford Racing billet steel flywheel, and Hurst shifter. Other mods include shortened drive shaft, rebuilt 8" rear. Wilwood disc brakes front and rear, Wilwood master cylinder with proportioning valve, American Racing Torque Thrust wheels 15x7 front and 15x7.5 rear with 205-45-15 front and 245-50-15 rear. There's a few more upgrades I didn't mention, but these are the bulk of it. I would say about 90% of parts have been replaced. To get my car to this stage took alot of time and hard earned cash and I'm happy with the results so far. I absolutely love driving it every chance I get. It sounds awsome and handles well. And the best part is...This baby is mine. Let me know what you think.
