Default T-bird or Cougar tail lights

Hi All,

Has anyone customized their 65-66 Mustang with Shelby style tail lights from a 65 T-bird, or the 67-68 Cougar tail lights?

I am thinking of doing this, I like the look. What I would like to know is, are the dimesions for a 65 Thunderbird tail light assemlby the same as the 67 Cougar? Could you put the lense and chrome trim from one onto the other? Reason I ask, I come across tail lights for a 67 Cougar for a decent price pretty often, but I really prefer the blocked off look of the chrome trim on the 65 T-bird, compared to the thin multiple bar grills across the Cougar tail light.

Appreciate any knowledge you all can impart to me!!

John

Nope different animal. The 64-65 T-bird lights are't tapered like the Cougar lights.
