There's no such thing as a Shelby Boss 302. It's either a Shelby GT-350/500 or a Boss 302.

Learn something new every day! I figured it to be a trans-am car that Shelby prepped like he done the GT-40. Cool article

What is not clear to me is is if the car has a Shelby VIN or not. The implication from the article was that it does not because of the comment about the Ford consecutive numbering. Is that is the case I think the label "Shelby Boss 302" is slightly misleading and just another case of literary license.

My comment was in reference to the article not your title. Like I said I'm not sure if it is or is not misleading. Interesting that the article only refers to one mustang but "1965mustang"'s list has 5. I wonder if these are just the Boss 302s as raced by the Shelby team in 69 and as such would not be considered Shelbies. Just wondering out loud.

Default 69 Shelby Boss 302

I'm looking for my old car, and I found this post through Google. I know it's an old thread, but hopefully someone can help. I was the second owner of a 69, VIN 9F02G482244. It's exterior appearance was a 69 Boss with Shelby wheels. It had the Shelby interior (rollbar, console gauges, etc) and lowered upper A arms, with staggered rear shocks. It originally was Boss 302 powered, but titled as a Shelby. There was a picture online in a article titled "best of the Bosses, wildest, fastest and rarest" that was taken when I owned it in the early 80's, at Milan dragway in MI. The author was kind enough to answer my emails and told me the car was in Missouri undergoing restoration. I understand there were 3 others that were R&D cars. If anyone knows anything about this car, I would greatly appreciate the info.
Thanks!

I have seen this car!! It was featured at the Shelby-Boss reunion this August at the Indianapolis Ford plant. Truly a remarkalbe car and story. A 69 BOSS 302 powered GT 350 (one of one #G482244). I know the owner and he would love to hear your story. reply if you are still interested.
