Default 1967 Mustang S code fastback GTA. To sell or not to sell?

Hi all. I have been a member for awhile and love to read the threads. I have a dilemma and wanted some ideas. I have a restored 67 fastback with a rebuilt original 390 and Tremec 5 speed transmission. Restoration of car is about 8/10 in quality with no real rust. A bubble or 2 at the usual lower front door. Upper and lower consoles (not original in the Marti but look awesome). I live next to the ocean in Hawaii and fear the rust. I had a guy offer me 30,000 for the car. I don't need the money so not the incentive but don't want to give it away. I LOVE this car but would rather see it sold than to slowly rust away. Garage is not really an option. I have no idea what the market is and can't find much for sale on E-bay etc to give me an idea for a car like mine. Any thoughts or ideas? I guess I really wanted to talk to some fellow mustangers as this decision really has me twisted.

Hello Tallenoahu, I guess the 30k is measured and good offer.
If that car will be in factory condition (without the consoles, Tramec tranmission and Shelby stripes and wheels), original factory drivetrain, colour, trim, than may works even more.

I had one for two years, got it cheap out of CT and it had everything - air, steer, upper and lower consoles and even the 4 warning lights in the console....everyone loved that car, and when a banker in my town offered me 50K for it, being a poor factory worker, I caved and sold it. 5 years on, I still kick my own ass every morning! I now have a garden variety C code 68 fastback, which helps relieve the pain of the loss of my S code 67, so I reckon if it aint a money thang, keep it - keep it waxed, keep it washed and keep an eye on the rust. S code 67's are one of the most sought after factory mustangs ever, and will never decrease in value. As long as you keep leaves and junk from clogging up in the cowl vent area, it shouldn't rust away anytime soon and make sure you change out simple and cheap things like the door and window rubbers. You live in the most beautiful place on earth (I'm gettin hitched on the North Shore in March) so you should keep one of the most beautiful cars on Earth too!

No way I'd ever sell that beauty.

Is that your garage in the background? If so, why isn't keeping it in there an option? If not, would keeping the salt washed off and a quality car cover work for you?

Default Thanks

Now that is what i was looking for! Thanks for telling me it would be crazy. I decided not to sell it to the random guy with cash. Those pics were from my old house. I do have a garage here but it is tiny and my tool collection is not. Drew, good luck with the wedding and just a little paint and that c code will be even more beautiful. Dion, i called the doctor (me) and he decided it would be nuts to sell! Thanks all!
