Agree! I am all for the black steel wheel look, even though people think that looks like sh!t, I still love it.

Update,...

I finally rolled it out of the barn, washed all the dirt off it,.... I went to put on the Magnum 500's with the bias ply's,... But one of them had a pretty good section of peeled chrome,....

So I had this stack of SS Cragars in the corner from off of a 68 Cougar I have in the barn,.... After putting them on , stepping back and looking at it,.. It gave me chills, because it looked so incredibly close to my ol' 67 .... A couple issues with this Mustang, it looks like someone did a nice fab job on new torque boxes,... but they were made from 1/8" plate,... nice job very strong, but incorrect.

I took it over to my nephew's garage to have him go through the entire electric system, cause under the dash looked like a bowl of spaghetti. The car has a really good SBF with a C-4,... The jury is still out on the 428 CJ,.... Here are some pictures.

I think you should leave your car as is and sell me your 428 cj cheap as I am building a true 68.5 R code.
No actually I think you should put the cj in your car. Good Luck.

Thanks Dave,... I really appreciate your willingness to take that boat anchor off my hands,... But I just couldn't burden you with that old hunk of iron. But thanks for the offer.

Man, I'm so jealous! Any pics of the Cougar? Used to have a base 67 myself, had the 289 and 3 speed stick.

Do the 428, the old FE's are getting scarce. everybody and their kid just drops in a small block and runs.
if there were two identical mustangs except one had an FE and one had a small block. You can bet i'd be drooling over the FE

This is the only picture I have of the Cougar,... The 302/ C-4 is out of it currently,... And I might have a trade going on it.... Great cars, but I have more than my share now......
