Default build sheet?

While taking out the carpet out of my 70 Mach 1, I found what looks like a build sheet. It was under the rear carpet. It is readable, but somewhat discolored and dirty. The wierd thing is, there is nothing marked down on it. All the fields are blank. So what do you think? Is it original? Is this something that the factory put in but forgot to fill out?

Hello. What has probably happened is that time and moisture have faded the ink away to nothing on it.Build sheets were often left under the carpet on these cars, though. You could get a marti report on the car and an old type writer and 'restore' your build sheet.Nice find.

That must be it. I like you idea of restoring it . Can you buy repro build sheet somewhere? I did get a Marti report when I was buying it. I'm starting to believe the guy that sold it to me that the 48,000 miles are original.

Hi again. Marti also does build sheets, window stickers, door tags and buck tags.I'm not sure how much they cost.I haven't bought one for a while. The door tags are like 20 bucks I think.Come to think of it,your car should have a buck tag on the front of the radiator core support, over on the P/S near the headlight assembly. It will be held on by one screw.Hope that helps.

It still has the buck tag, dor tag and some of the original stickers. Those will be gone soon, I'm taking it to get sand blasted. It looks like you can get most of the original(repo) stickers form some of the mail order places too. Thanks again for your help.
