Default Where to get leaf spring plates?

I can't find anywhere that has leaf spring plates except for the TCP ones, but those are like $130 which is ridiculous(though TCP does make nice products). I've checked Mustangs Unlimited, Mustangs Plus, and Mustangs Depot. Mustangs Unlimited had plates for a 65/66, but no other years. I need some for a 67 Mustang. The ones on my car might be good, but for as cheap as they are(or they should be at least), I might as well replace them and have piece of mind.

Hello.New Ford plates are going to be very expensive. There are a couple of vendors here in Houston that have the reproductions. They run about a hundred bucks for the pair,if I'm not mistaken.I think that I'd trust good original ones a lot more than I would repops, though. That is all that's holding your rear axle assembly to the car.I don't think I'd like it very much if some cheap repop part caused my rear axle assembly to go bouncing down the road unencumbered by that pesky mustang. If yours aren't cracked or bent up,you might want to consider just cleaning them up and using them.Hope that helps.

I found them at CJ Pony Parts for $25 a piece. I don't really see how you could mess up such a simple thing as a shock plate. I'd make some myself but with all the other stuff I'm doing on the car, I really don't have time.

Hi again. People figure out ways to mess up some amazingly simply items. You start with some thinner, low quality metal, add a person with an I.Q. equal to room temperature poking the holes at a blistering pace, bypass quality control entirely and Presto! There you are. Some folks could mess up an anvil. Good luck.
