Default don't know what cam I have

Help!!!!
I bought a 68 302 engine rebuilt but the gentlemen doesn't have any info on what cam and valve springs use on the rebuild.His father had the engine done and has since past on.I have only a 560 stamped in the end of the cam and a D6 ,1204 i believeare the only numbers on the cam.Is there some way I cam mic the lobe hieght to give me an idea of what I have .The valve springs have a orange strip on them.

You can mic the lobes to figure your lift. Measure the diameter of the base circle of the lobe, then measure the total height of the lobe. Subtract the base circle measurement from the total height and that would be your lift at the lobe. Multiply that by the rocker arm ratio to get total valve lift.

You can also set a dial indicator on the lifter and crank the motor over by hand till you get max lift on intake or exhaust if you have the motor around to use. If you want lobe seperation and overlap youll have to do a bit of math and get a degree wheel to use.
