Default Need Restoration Shop in S. California please

I have a 67' ragtop that has been a project car for 15 years. I need an honest restoration/repair shop in southern california to finish the job.

This is NOT a show car - numbers do not match, etc. I'm looking to fine-tune the engine (make sure I didn't put anything in backwards) and refresh the exterior (new paint and wheels) and interior (new upholstery and trim). Parts can come from the typical sources/catalogs.

Does anyone know of an honest, inexpensive resto shop between San Diego, Orange County and Riverside? I need a place that understands the value of a weekend driver car and will charge accordingly.

Thanks for the help!

I know a shop here in san diego. I don't know about their prices for restoration work I have just bought parts from them. But I do know about their honesty and integrity. It is possible that if SD is too far they may recommned someone in your area.

I understand your dillema. I live in Murrieta, just north of the San Diego County line. I have looked for a shop that would do some work on my 66 mustang in this area and have had no luck. With most shops, once they hear that the year of the car is sub 72 or 73 it becomes this high dollor restoration project. I couldnt even find a decent paint and body shop for my daily driver that wasnt a "colission\insuance only" for a paint job that was less that 5,000.00. So, I did most of the resoration by myself. Except for the paint.

I own a restoration/speed shop in costa mesa. Champion Speed and Restoration. We do everything from frame off nut/bolt restorations to service and repair work. We work closely with a few paint shops and we offer inhouse upholstery. We can work with a budget or build full customs. We've done cars for Reggie Jackson, Joe Amato etc.. Our shop is safe, clean and insured, we also offer pick-up and delivery services. I'd love to take a look at your mustang and see if we could help you out. Our shop # is 949-873-2215 , or my cell 714-321-7401
Thanks, Ian Montgomery
