Default What is original???

I plan on restoring my first mustang[a 65 or 66] to original stock. What exactly is original stock?? Are reproduction[or aftermarket ]parts that are original specifications o.k. to use?? Or must they be actual ford mustang , off the production line parts??? probably a basic question, but I need to know, thank you , Lenny what about custom upholstery work, that is a match for the original???

Well, original parts should have the ford seal, they could be manufactured by others but using the original tooling equipment, specifications and ford approval.

Reproductions might be using original tooling or not, and the quality can vary from vendor to vendor. Repros wont have the "original part" seal.

If your car enters a contest it would be judged also by the parts used to restore it.
