Dads 71 Toy, here's a
link to all the colors available on your Mustang in 1971. This will show you the other colors your car came in.
I have the same feeling as Preacher, when I find my Next Mustang to work on I want to paint it either green, yellow, or orange. At the shows around where I am it seems everyone has painted thier cars either red, maroon or black, Mustang or not. I personally find it boring looking at all these simialar cars. I'm glad my current Mustang is Acapulco blue, it stands out.
I found a link to a car painted the Medium Lime color (code #4) on that paint chip set,

Bottom line is it's your choice though, chose a color that you like and will be happy with, no matter what others say.
[EDIT]
Here I found a better example of colors that your car came in, all show with 71 models like yours so it'll be easier for you to see exactly what your car will look like in a chosen color.
