I have a 73 convertable and I know nothing about restoration. I want to put tilt steering column in the car is this a difficult process? Can a lame do it? What about switching out the key clyninder? Your help is apreciated!!

71-73 tilt columns can be found for a sane price unlike earlier years. Not very hard at all to change one out, nor is it hard to change the ignition switch (you can rent the tools for that at BlottoZone)
