Default After a decade of waiting...

Drum roll please...

We're finally getting body and paint work done on our 66. Mechanically everything is sound and has been redone to be a daily driver. The interior is close but needs some TLC but the body... sadly the body has gone to pot. Some yahoo decided it was ok to perform a little hit and run on our front fender/ headlight bucket area and she just looks even more sad now. So, long story short, she goes into the shop next month and maybe by the end of Winter or beginning of spring we'll have our baby back with a fresh Tahoe Turquoise overcoat. I'm pretty pumped. I'll be sure to do some before and after pics so you can see how dramatic the change is.

Just sharing as I'm excited...

Take care all...

Outstanding man! I'm glad your project is coming together well for you. I can only hope mine goes well. I really hope it doesn't take me a full decade to finish it the way I want it.

Well between saving money, paying bills (buying more Mustangs) we're excited to get it going. I'm sure it would be cheaper to start with a Stang in better shape but you know as well as I do that rationality isn't a factor. We get attached to our cars and I can't bear the thought of this one ending up in a crusher or parted out when we could have saved it.

She's staying a 6 banger... but she's gonna be purdy.

Yeah I coulda found a better car to start with too, but this one was available and cheap. Also it's a little on the rare side. There were only a handful of t-top, 5.0L, 5 speed GT's made in 83.
