Default recoding the fender apron

I have seen some kits that are supposedly original tooling as to the font for the fender apron. Either from rust or a front ender the code is gone from the fender apron. Someone did a pretty good job but I want to restamp that code since it identifies my car as a factory big block for car shows. Anyone know where I can get the stamps? I saw some on Ebay and should have bought them then. The dmv said I can do it as long as I am using the same code. So where can I can get similar tooled letters and numbers?? Thanks if anyone knows. I am pulling the fenders for paint and motor so now seems like the time to do this.

MSC, http://www1.mscdirect.com/cgi/nnsrhm?KNC-T7L391316886 , has 3/16" stamps. I replaced my fender apron 2 years ago and didn't stamp it at that time. I ordered the 3/16" stamps , numbered and letter plus a star stamp from them a few months ago. I did order a star stamp from ebay awhile ago and it's identical to the one I got from MSC. Next time I have the fender off I'll restamp the VIN (which I should add, is legal in CT for restoration and repair purposes only).

When restamping it, lay a piece of masking tape on the area to use as a straight edge to line up the stamps.

Default thank you

Thanks for the response on where to find those stamps. Glad to know that someone else had the same problem and knew where to find them. One of the body shops for a complete paint, looked at me like I was crazy, told him he could verify the license plates to the vin elsewhere on the car, jeez for a 10k estimate the guy should be willing to do that since it's not illegal here.
