Buy a set and you will see. Because of my budget, and my desire to get this car on the road by next fall, i decided against the coil overs, but managed to find a great deal on some brand new control freak control arms (exactly the same as global west). After removing my stock arms, I could immediately tell that they were a weak point in the suspension. They were frail, flimsy stamped steel parts, and I could actually flex the lowers by twisting them by HAND. The tubular ones i purchased weigh about the same, but are MONSTERS. I was blown away when i received them, and KNOW they will make a difference in handling. There will be ZERO deflection and tweaking, and i will be able to adjust my camber (and caster with my new adj. strut rods) to good, high performance specs.
If you find the tubular variety are a bit too expensive for you, i suggest checking out

They take stock arms and computer realign them, and then brace them with boxed steel. It looks like a very effective product, and they have them on their own road race cars. Check out their videos as well, the cars handle great with them on.
