Default Needed: Pictures of '65, '66 horn mounting

I've finally made it to the front of the car with the '64 to '65 wiring harness conversion. I made a slight detour during the brake conversion but now I'm back on track...

The latest '64 to '65 difference is the mounting of the horns. I'm in need of a picture of the '65 mounting, including where the wires pass through.

If anyone has some pics they wouldn't mind sharing, I'd appreciate it. If easier they can be e-mailed to stump54@intrstar.net

Thanks,
Gary

Hello. You might want to consider making a little extension for the horn wires and using the original mounting points. To hook the horns up on the radiator core support like a later car you will have to poke six holes in the radiator core support. You also will need new horns. Those big horns for the generator cars won't mount up front like an alternator car's horns. Not even close. But, if you decide to go that route, here's where they go. Hope that helps.

Exactly what I need, thanks. I was looking to move the horns since the wiring included a plug for the radiator support, and I thought it would look better. I'll have to see if I can remove the plug.

Hey Gary, I took 4 pics (both inside and outside r&l) of my '65 with the smaller horns. Hope they'll help. Notice the harness connects the two across the radiator support. If nothing else this might give you an idea where the holes go for the brackets. Let me know how it turns out. Steve

PS Not sure what happened to the 4th picture.....hmmm
