Default 1965/66 Mustang Coupe Lowering

Hello All.
I managed to get my fox body and parts sold, and now have a solid cash base to start buying up parts. I am definately lowering my car, and was curious as to what type of drop you guys have experience with. I WAS going to go with tcp coilovers up front, but have since changed my mind to standard coil springs with tubular control arms, etc. How low should i look to go with this car? I was thinking of using mid-eye leaf springs out back (appx. 1" drop) and about a 1-1/4" shelby style drop up front.. I'm still a little concerned that the car might still sit a bit too high for my tastes... Should i look into a 2" drop? Any experience and/or input is appreciated

Springs are just part of the vehicle's stance. The diameter of your wheel and tire combination comes into play. Do you know what combo you'll be using?

Also, the shelby "drop", really relocation of the upper control arm, doesn't lower the front end very much, if at all. (Theoretically, it should not lower the front end but when I did mine it sure seems to have come down about 1/2").

I've got mid eye 5 leaf rear springs, 620lb. 1" lower front springs running 245/50/15 tires in the rear and 225/50/15 tires in the front. I have about 3.5 - 4" of ground clearance between the lowest part of my headers and the pavement. Speed bumps in parking lots are an issue at this height.

I have to lift the front of my fastback. It sits a bit too low and the steel line of my power steering got messed up. Now I have to find a good site to order new lines

I was planning on using 16x8 wheels on all four corners. I think that it will sit just right with the 5leaf Mid-eyes out back, and i guess a good 1 or 1.5" drop up front.
