Default Looking for information about Onlinetires.com

Hello everyone,

I have been looking for a good price on tires for my 66 Fastback and ran across Onlinetires.com The price that they want for the BF Goodrich tires I need seems to be pretty good. My problem is that I don't recall hearing of them before. If anyone has had any expericence with them, good or bad, I would really like to know. I don't want to pay for the tires and then just find out it was some sort of scam.

Thanks everbody

Hello. I've never heard of this online tires dot com place. For regular tires, like BF Goodrich or Michelin or something, I just go to Discount Tires and buy the tires, have them mounted and balanced all in one shot. Their prices are good and they generally stand behind them if there's a problem. They never charge me for rotating them, checking the balance, fixing them if I pick up a nail or something. I've never really felt the need to go anywhere else. Hope that helps.

I've not hear dof them either. However http://www.tirerack.com/tires/index.jsp I have. Many folks report that they are great to deal with. Prices are pretty good too.
Keep in mind that when you get some from a local shop, mounting and balancing is generally included in the price. Not only do you have to pay extra to get your internet tires mounted and balanced, but you also have to pay shipping. Might be worth your time to add up and make sure ordering online is your best deal.
Is there any local info on the "battle" that happened in your area? My great great grandpa is supposed to have been in it (rebel). Always thought it would be neat to see some documentation of it though.

Hello GypsyR and Veronica,

Thank you both for the information. I have not purchased from Discount Tire but have purchased from The Tire Rack. However, in this case I can't purchase from anyone. Nobody has the 225-60-15 BFG Radial T/A since BFG is backordered. When I called Discount Tires the salesman stated that they were informed by BFG that they would not be making anymore for at least the next three months or longer. Sure is a shame since I need tires now.

Gypsy R as for your question about the battle of Pea Ridge, the Pea Ridge National Millitary Park is only about five miles from my house. If you Google Pea Ridge battlefield several sites will come up. Also, on the National Parks Service website for the battlefield, there is a link to see if your great great grandfather fought in the war, for what side, and where at. Sounds like to me this is what you are looking for.

Take care you guys and thanks again.

Raymond
