Hello. Pony carbs sells them for the A codes for something in five to six hundred range. A buildable core generally goes for something like two hundred. The manual choke, K code 4100s are bringing some pretty crazy money. I have seen them go for as much as twelve hundred. Hope that helps.

Hi Veronica,

Ah, I found one that is used (of course) with a rebuild kit for under $200. Guess that's in or around the price then minus the rebuild kit.

Thanks for the info.. I was thinking that $200 was pretty low.

Maybe these numbers would help? It has a 1.12 and has the number COAE K printed on it. Is that a K code carb ??

Your testing my memory but I think it is a 600 cfm unit A codes used 480cfm ones and had 108 on the right hand side of the fuel bowl (when facing engine)

There is another one I've been looking at which is a 1:08 with the numbers #6P H stamped on the base. Is this one correct for A codes?

Hi again. The C0AE-K is for a 1960 model big block 352, which is a 600 cfm. It should have the thermostatic choke housing on the p/s, instead of the manual choke stuff of a K code carb.It would be a great carb to run on a mustang, it just wouldn't be concours correct. The other one is for a 66/67 small block Fairlane, I believe, but I could be mistaken on that one. Hope that helps.

No and yes. The C3AE was built in the second week of november, 1963. They didn't build A code mustangs until aug of 64. The correct carb for a 65 model A code will start out with a C4 or C5 and for a 66 it will be C6. But, it stands head and shoulders above the Carter for performance and reliability. Hope that helps.

That helps tremendously Veronica ! Thanks !

A difference I found out this morning between 64.5 and 65's (among the many) is that the owners manual's are different though each says 1965 owners manual. I never knew that. If I knew how to attach a link for the site I found with examples of the differences I would.
