What q's should I ask seller and what's a fair price?

I have always wanted a 60's Stang and I'm supposed to look at a 66 vert. automatic. The engine was rebuilt but everything else is supposed to be stock. The asking price is 22500-seems a little high for a V6. I've never looked into anything like this so what q's should I ask the seller? What do you think a fair price is?
Any info would be really helpful.
