Default 1967 Lime Gold vs. 2006 Legend Lime Metallic

Can anyone tell me how similar the 1967 Era Lime Gold is to the S197 Legend Lime Metallic?

My car was originally Lime Gold and I'm interested in bringing it back to its original color, but only if it's something I really like. I've only seen pictures of the Lime Gold and it looks very similar to Legend Lime.

IMO, not even close, but that's just my personal view. The Lime Gold is very Gold. I had a Lime Gold for a very short time. The biggest difference is the newer paints and the clear coats.

Yep, I don't like it when people use a clearcoat with Lime Gold, it just looks too glossy. IMO, single stage is the way to go with that particular color.
The Legend Lime is alot glossier, as I'm sure it's a two stage paint job. It would probably look nice on a classic though.

I've seen it on an original Lime 67. Very close but much, much better looking thanks to the gloss.

Thanks for the info. The two colors I'm considering are pretty close to the '05 colors of Windveil Blue or Legend Lime. Both look pretty similar to two of the first shelby colors and they'd go well with a tan top/interior. Keeping everything original is just too expensive and not really worth it on a C-code '67 conv. with no options. I have to put the power discs on the front before I'll let the wife behind the wheel...
