Driving to work today, just saw a new-on-the-market. Didn't have time to stop so I took pics. Didn't get a chance to see engine, but im guessing 289? The real joke is the price on the 4-sale. What should I offer in cash? I wouldn't fix it up now, but there aren't many classics around here..
i am not expert, but that doesn't look like a 4,500 dollar car. maybe 3 grand. but like i said, i am no expert

That doesn't look like a $4,500.00 car. If you can get a VIN I have books I could decode it for you, maybe get some production numbers. Unless it's a diamond in the ruff, I think it's way too high.
A guy who comes to the cruise-in's here in town each Friday bought a '69 Mach 1, (smaller engine, 302 I believe) for 8 grand and the car had a new paint job and decals. Very nice, and a terrific starting point for a restoration. If I had known about it, I would have scoffed it up.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.
That car is a 6 banger, or at least most likely was built with one, judging from the 4 lug wheels. If it comes with all of the stuff that isn't installed - driver's door interior panel, taillights, bumper, etc., and all of that stuff is in decent condition, then I'd guess that $4500 isn't too too far off the mark - assuming a rustfree Florida car. I could see some people actually paying that amount for it. Of course, cheaper is better, so feel out the owner, and see what you can do. This old cheap@$$ is rootin' for you.
Maybe you shoulda blacked out the seller's phone number... Don't worry, I won't swipe it out from under you.

Hello. The car is virtually worthless. It's a 6cyl, three speed manual car with obvious rust issues in the rear quarters, doors and rear window area, so it also almost certainly has rust issues in the floor and probably the cowl area as well. If you take the purchase price of that car and the price of fixing just the body, never mind whatever mechanical and electrical issues it will have, you could buy outright a much nicer car than you would have after you spent all of that money on this one. I think that I would have to keep looking. You can get a pretty nice 'C' code coupe that doesn't have all of those problems for something in the 10 or 11K range, and there's no way you could get that car anything close to roadworthy for that. Hope that helps.
at best a parts car worth maybe 5-600...body work alone will put you over what the cars value is. save your money, if there are no other cars in the area try ebay or one of the ford or mustang classifieds...wait for the right car.

Yeah, I decided against it about an hour after I posted.. I don't have time for another project, I gotta sink a butt-load of money into my 95 before she comes out of retirement.. and I miss her. So anyone want it, (the 66) the phone number is there. I guess I helped him sell the car lol.
