More info is really needed, including body style, condition, and if it's been modified.
Prices for Mustangs have generally gone up the last few years. I kick myself for not buying a 69 Sportsroof project car I saw a few years ago. Wasn't really interested at the time but now that I'm getting near the end of the restoration of my 68 coupe I'm considering one for my next project.........if I can afford what I want.
DSO 89 is 'transportation services' which is a vehicle that was built for Ford's use. When it wasn't needed by Ford anymore most* of them were sold off. These vehicles were kept for Ford employee use (gifts, perks or loaners), advertising, and a few were for testing purposes. Some of these cars were given to high ranking Ford employees to drive and when newer models came out the employee would turn the old car in and get a new one. The car could have been bought outright by the employee if they wanted it, it could have been passed on to another employee or if it wasn't needed or wanted anymore by Ford it would be put up for sale.
This worked for trucks too as if a factory needed a box truck or stake body they could build a chassis cab with DSO 89 and keep it on the property or send it to the Ford place it was needed.
* almost all the testing vehicles would have been destroyed due to liability concerns, if they weren't already taken apart to see how parts held up, and not offered for sale to the public after thier use wasn't needed anymore.

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project
Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.
If you could post the VIN number and the door tag information, it would help us tremendously.
Thanks,
Sore

Your car is on the rare side being a bench seat car and a GT also. There were 6,113 bench seat 68s built, body code 65C, but even less would have been GTs.
Your car was built on or near May 14th 1968 by your VIN number. I just looked it up and Dearborn built 68s with VINs 8F01C193005 and 8F01C193155 were both scheduled for build on "14E" which is May 14th and your VIN falls between them.
This is one of the cars that a Marti report would be great for and he can make you a replacement door tag for $20.
I really don't know of value right now as some people would love to have a more rare car while others wouldn't care about the bench seat, they would just be interested in the GT. Being a true GT though it would price higher than a nonGT coupe in similar condition, that I can tell you.
