Default 1966 Mustang coupe re-sale Value???

Hello.... I have a friend who has an "All original" 66 coupe, C code 289, Automatic trans. It has Factory A/C, factory front bench seat, power steering, original intreior (Black) that is in very good condition, and factory exterior paint (Wembleton White) has a couple paint chips but over all is very straight, Black Vinal Top (looks to have been replaced at some time, maybe) factory original hub caps, the car is extreamly clean, doesn't appear to have ever been wrecked, no rust..... actually one of the cleanest "original" cars I've seen! IT IS A ONE OWNER CAR CALIFORNIA CAR! My question is, what would be a good asking price for a car in this condition? She is asking $15000.00. I'm wondering if that is high or what? I have never sold or bought a factory original car like this before, (I've always played with modifieds.) so I'm not sure of a good price. If anyone would give me some imput on what would be a respectable price on a car like this, I would appreciate it. Thanks, John

I would look at Hemmings Motor News and on ebay to see what similar cars are going for. That would be the best bet to judge the market currently.

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.

Hey John, I have a '66 gt coupe California black plate and very little rust for sale in very good condition and mostly original. I ran it on Ebay a couple of weeks ago for 12.5K and it bid to 9K. Judging from what I've seen on Ebay most coupes are selling for the 9K-11K range. If her car is "immaculate" she's still pushing 15K in my opinion. I just hope she's not too emotionally attached to the car because that can cause problems. We all think our cars are worth much more than they really are. A car is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Just test the market and see what happens. Good luck!
