Default Im new and im asking about 5 lug adapters/pictures on a 1966 Mustang Coupe

Hi
My name is Matt and im new here.I have a 1966 mustang coupe inline 6.
Has anyone here used the 4 to 5 lug wheel adapters if so what wheels did you use.
I would like to have 16" or 17" wheels.Can anyone help?

If you want to run five lugs then do it the right way and convert the car to fives by swappin' out the rear and changing the front spindals etc. Adapters never work right, don't waste your money. Haven't tried to use adapters in about thirty years couldn't keep the lugs tight they kept backing off I doubt that things have changed...don't use them the're dangerous.

I don't trust adapters or wheel spacers they are a bandaid over the problem.I just change it to the 5 lug its not that hard to do.

Do us all a favor and swap to 5-lug axles and v8 spindles and brakes. Your car will be much safer for it.

Adapters add too much stress to the lugs making it more likely to sheer them off.If you swap everything over to the v8 parts your car will handle and stop better.And later be ready if you want a v8 or built up inline 6.
