When I lived in Los Angeles, I had several anti theft measures in place when I parked my '65 coupe. I have an Accel electonic distributor that uses an old style "Dodge" cap and rotor, so I would pull the rotor and put the cap back on (a Ford rotor will fit the distributor but puts timing 180 degrees off lol), I also had an inline fuse for the fuel pump that I'd pull, then wired to a switch hidden under the dash, and a hidden switch under the dash for the coil. At night I chained the front suspension to my motorcycle, and the rear axle to a steel post that supported the livingroom of my apartment. I started using the chains after somebody broke into the car 5 nights over a weeks time trying to get it started (was afraid they might just give up and try towing it). On the plus side, the person that was trying to steal it got chased one day for 3 blocks by a psychotic Mustang owner wielding a 32oz framing hammer, then a call was made to the thiefs employer (he ran off so fast he forgot to take his tool bag with reciepts from work).
